How it works

If you are feeling a little disorganised or undergoing a transition in life, getting your home in order can be both physically and emotionally demanding. So, it helps to have an extra pair of hands to support you along the way.

The first stage of every project – no matter how big or small – is to arrange a consultation.

Here we’ll discuss your goals and priorities, as well as times where you have tried to organise your home in the past – what worked and what obstacles or challenges you encountered.

The process of decluttering and organising your home is very much a collaboration, so together we’ll put a plan in place that fits with your aims, timescales and availability.

Also, as a professional organiser, I am fully insured and take a completely confidential and non-judgemental approach, respecting your home and your possessions. It can take time and consideration when deciding what to keep, recycle or put in the “not sure” box, and I’m here to make the process as easy and supportive as possible.

I find great joy in tidying and organising, and it has always been a big part of my life. In particular, when setting up a home for my family; organising my two boys through school, juggling social events and arranging family holidays, and when coordinating our move to America and our return to Cambridgeshire a few years later.

I also find great joy in helping people. Before following my passion as a professional organiser, I worked as a nurse for the NHS and more recently as a learning support assistant in education.

Everyone I have met, worked with and helped along the way has a story to tell. Indeed, people often seek my help at a time of transition in their lives – new parents whose home feels taken over by children’s toys, couples coming together or uncoupling, caring for elderly parents – and the process of reclaiming your home, invites a sense of calm and control. In letting go of clutter, you are letting go of anxiety.

I used TidyAway to help me reclaim our bedroom and in the space of 2.5 hours we cleared surfaces, reorganised wardrobes and managed to sort through mountains of under-used clothes and shoes.  She even helped me take stuff to the charity shop to save me the hassle.
